Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ShareGreet ("we", "us") collects when you use the ShareGreet app, and how we use it. ShareGreet lets you create personalized, AI-narrated greetings and stories from a text prompt, optionally with your own photos or videos.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google to create your ShareGreet account.
Content you create. The prompts you type, the scripts and images/videos generated from them, any photos or videos you choose to upload for a scene, and captions you write. If you publish a story to the public Discover feed, that content (and its narration text) is visible to other users.
Profile details. Your display name, country/region (used to tailor cultural and language defaults), and your credit balance.
Purchase information. If you buy credits, the purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play — we never see your card details. We receive only a purchase confirmation from Apple/Google, which we use to credit your account.
Device and diagnostic information. We use Firebase App Check to confirm requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the app, as a defense against automated abuse.
Push notification token. If you allow notifications, we store a device token so we can notify you when a story finishes generating.
How we use this information
- To generate the story/greeting content you request (we send your prompt to Google's Gemini and related AI models to produce the script, images, video, and narration).
- To operate your account: track your credit balance, free-generation allowance, referral rewards, and the stories you've created, liked, or saved.
- To show you and other users public content in the Discover feed and Feed tabs, if you choose to publish or use a template.
- To send you a notification when a generation you started finishes.
- To detect abuse and enforce our content rules.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that power the app:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), file storage, cloud functions, push notifications, and app integrity checks.
- Google Cloud AI models (Gemini, Imagen/Nano Banana, Veo, Chirp) — to generate scripts, images, video, and narrated audio from your prompts.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — to process credit purchases.
If you use the Share or Download feature, the video file is handed to the OS share sheet or saved to your device's own gallery — what happens after that (e.g. posting to Instagram or WhatsApp) is between you and that app, governed by its own privacy policy.
Children
ShareGreet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
- You can delete individual stories at any time from your Profile.
- You can request deletion of your entire account and associated data — see Delete Your Account.
- You can revoke notification permission at any time from your device settings.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your profile, stories, and uploaded media within 30 days, except where we're required to retain records (for example, purchase records) for legal or accounting purposes.
